Two Ducks

A poem about ducks

Two ducks
Float leisurely
Down the river
Together

They bob in and out
In search of food
One makes a call
The other answers

One sprints forward
Giving playful chase
The other scurries away
Leaving playful wakes

They lift their heads
To check on the other
Swim close if ever
They drift too far

Two ducks
In the river
And we
