Today I am going
To be very ambitious
I’ll do all the laundry
And wash all the dishes
I’ll cook a hot meal
And eat very healthy
Perhaps start a side-gig
That might make me wealthy
To stay organized
A list of todos
But where to begin
Takes longer to choose
I’ll rake the whole yard
And pull all the weeds
Plant some new flowers
And water the seeds
At some point I’ll want
To regain some power
With a ten minute nap
I’ll turn into an hour
The shelves need some dusting
The floors all need cleaning
I’ll do both at once
While I ponder life’s meaning
The days getting long now
No more time for fun
How long has the moon
Been in place of the sun
It’s silly to start now
On things in my head
Perhaps I’ll just do them
Tomorrow instead
