This is more a legal concern than a technical one (and something to seek out legal advice for), but if the margin of error is so razor thin for inaccurate information as regards tax authorities in certain regions, for example, then the onus should probably be placed on the end user to provide accurate, reliable data, and that policy should be explicitly spelled out in the EULA to minimize any potential liability.
